Our consultation is open. We want to hear your thoughts on the proposed reforms to Climate Active to help shape the future of the program.

The landscape for voluntary climate action is changing and Climate Active will continue to evolve to reflect this. The consultation responds to calls from participants, stakeholders and growing community expectations.

Our consultation paper sets out proposals to:

• raise the level of climate ambition and action to get certified
• better integrate Climate Active with other government climate objectives
• modernise the program’s operation.

We welcome your views on key issues and proposed reforms. Feedback from the consultation will give us the opportunity to strengthen the program. We want to ensure it continues to support credible, high-integrity climate action and help drive Australia to net zero by 2050.
